How to Cook/Handle/Prepare

ALWAYS HEAT THOROUGHLY


GRILL

Preheat grill to medium-low heat. Grill sausage for 8-10 minutes, or until heated thoroughly turning frequently for even browning.


STOVE TOP

Bring 2/3 cup of water to a boil in a large skillet. Add sausage; cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 10-12 minutes or until heated thoroughly, turning once. If browning is desired, drain water and heat for 3-4 minutes or until browned, turning frequently.


For children under 5 years: Cut links lengthwise, then slice into bite size pieces.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I don't like the bigger size I really liked these beef smoked sausages and frequently cooked them for lunch or dinner. A few months ago, the company decided to sell one less sausage in the package and make the remaining sausages bigger. I don't like the way this affected the taste at all. When the size was smaller, the inside meat could get truly hot and render the fat completely but with the size being so big, the outside will get too done if you try to get the fat inside rendered all the way like it should be. It also messes with the ratio to outside sear to inside meat. Now there is so much more meat inside, there is less overall flavor from the outside sear. In addition, there is an ODD number of sausages which means it doesn't feed my whole family by giving each of us two links. I'll be buying a different brand unless they fix these problems. I'm very disappointed that they changed something that was perfect before and ruined it.
