How to Cook/Handle/Prepare




Preheat grill to medium-low heat. Grill sausage for 8-10 minutes, or until heated thoroughly turning frequently for even browning.


Bring 2/3 cup of water to a boil in a large skillet. Add sausage; cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 10-12 minutes or until heated thoroughly, turning once. If browning is desired, drain water and heat for 3-4 minutes or until browned, turning frequently. For children under 5 years: Cut links lengthwise, then slice into bite size pieces

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tasty and versatile! I like getting the Hillshire Farms product line. When I tried the Naturals product line, I was impressed. The flavor is tasty and versatile. I made split pea soup with the smoked sausage instead of ham. I didn't even miss the ham and will probably only use smoked sausage in soups, eggs, and pastas from now on! For the comment before, I'm sure they'll make a cheese option eventually. This is such a great, tasty and convenient product. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only one more thing needed to make this GREAT... Just tried this today for our evening meal. Loved the mild seasoning and smoky flavor...but it would have been rated 5 stars if you had a version with CHEESE inside!
