Lit’l Smokies® Cinnamon Custard French Toast Bites

  • 1 loaf cinnamon swirl bread
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup powder sugar (for dusting)
  1. Remove crust from bread slices and cut bread into 1-inch strips.
  2. Roll the strips flat with a rolling pin.
  3. In a bowl combine the heavy whipping cream, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon together. Whisk until fully incorporated.
  4. Roll sausage up in a strip of bread and dredge it in the egg mixture until completely coated.
  5. Fry each one on a griddle or frying pan over low to medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Dust with powder sugar and enjoy.
