How to Cook/Handle/Prepare

ALWAYS HEAT THOROUGHLY


PAN FRY

Cut Smoked Sausage sections in half lengthwise or into 1'2" slices. Add to non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cooke 6-9 minutes, turning frequently.


STOVE TOP

Add sausage to 2-3 inches of boiling water. Simmer for 10-12 minutes.


GRILL

Grill over medium-high heat for 12-14 minutes, turning frequently.

For children under 5 years: Cut sausage lengthwise, then slice into bite size pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DELICIOUS! Without a doubt the best Polska Kielbasa I have ever eaten! It is soooo tender and flavorful. Just boil it in a pan for 10 minutes and enjoy on an italian style sausage bun with Heinz ketchup.....Delicious!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent flavor. Surprisingly very flavorful I grew up eating Kielbasa having a Grandmother from Warsaw. Trying to eat more healthy without giving everything tasty up, therefore I turned to this "Lite" product having been eating the regular version with pride for many many years. I know they know what there doing at Hillshire Farm, obviously. Nevertheless, this lighter calorie & fat Polish sausage taste very much like a seasoned polish sausage smoked to perfection. Now to compare this to the regular version is not necessarily but not even fair because regular Hillshire Farm Kielbasa is proof God exists. This lighter sausage has many of the same tast attributes as her parent sausage. Two thumbs up. Great way to eat more healthy without giving up amazing food.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why so much sodium? Sodium 520mg Why??? This is lite. I must cut it up into 1/8 inch slices. I must put into ice water in the refrigerator overnight. Some of the salt leaches out. My dog loves the water. Offer no salt added, Sodium Lactate, Monosodium Glutamate, Sodium Diacetate, Sodium Phosphate, Sodium Erythorbate, Sodium Nitrite. You use Potassium phosphates. All of the others can be replaced by Potassium except Sodium Chloride. Potassium Chloride has a nasty after taste. There is no need for Salt.
