Rated 5 out of 5 by from Less Fat and Very Tasty Pros: Love this smoked turkey sausage which is very yummy and taste better than the Jeanie O brand. I love sausages but don't eat it often due to all the fat so this smoked turkey sausage makes me feel a lot better healthwise since it has a lot less fat compared to other sausages so I won't be clogging arteries or gain too much weight afterwards. I love making it in Hillshire Farm's Wintry Soup Recipe posted on this website which has become one of my favorite easy soups to make. I also love stir frying it with veggies and making it with one pot pasta dishes where you just add some chicken broth, cheese and veggies all in one pot to cook...the smoky flavor of this sausage combined makes the whole dish so tasty ..less dishes to clean too. Cons: I take public transportation to work and usually grocery shop after work. Safeway, Target, and other grocery stores that I pass by on my way back to work don't sell Hillshire Farms Smoke Sausage...they only sell the more fattening pork, beef, turkey combo. Safeway does sell an organic turkey sausage but it's very over priced for my income level and it's not smoked which makes a world of difference when making a one pot pasta dish. Just checked on this website in San Francisco there are only three places you can purcahse it...two iI think are at Lucky grocery stores which aren't close to where I live but at least close to where I can get off the bus to walk. Also studies have shown that smoked food items can contribute to cancer but so do french fries, chips, etc. I don't eat smoked food that often and I eat a lot of stir fried veggies that is healthy. I believe in eating all food in moderation..just eat more veggies and fruit to balance out a heavy meal. Just wish this smoked turkey sausage was sold at more grocery stores

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVE this for snacks! I've always ate this as a snack with cheese. Soo good and lower calorie then regular. I just have a question, why does it say heat thoroughly when it's already pre-cooked?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Value The best part about this sausage is the value price. It has a good smokey flavor but the sausage itself is a little soft and kind of mushy. I use to eat it, but now I am trying to find out if it is gluten free.
